I saw the ophthalmologist yesterday; I am developing cataracts in both eyes which will require surgery "sooner rather than later". Most probably due to so much time outdoors before there were UV blocking sunglasses readily available and not using UV blockers as much as I should have. There is also some other damage at the back of the eye that is going to require laser treatment in 2 weeks.

So; get those good wrap around UV blocking sunglasses and USE them! The eyes you save WILL be your own!
