I was walking through Bellevue Square on my way to my car, this afternoon, when a young guy with a clipboard in front of Container Store asked me how my day was going. I replied, "Well, and you?" He came back with, "Great. Will you fight for gay rights in the South?"

I stopped, turned square to him, looked him in the eye, and asked, "Will you fight for gun rights in Washington State?"

He adopted a startled look and slowly stammered, "Umm... well... not me personally..."

I said, "Have a great day," and walked on.

"Great. Will you fight for gay rights in the South?".

He saw that you were armed,eh? Maybe he was recruiting mercenaries to go to Mississippi.

What would you have done if he said, "Yes! I voted no on I-594 and I'm going to capitol on the 13th with my guns!"

At that point, I would have listened to what he was suggesting to improve them.

Sweet!

Now if we can be certain that accused "fool" really believes the cause for which he is hounding people and not just some young individual who took the job and just trying to pay his bills...we may have something.

He's probably moved on with his life or perhaps he may have posted his experience on a forum: wehoundpeopleforpetitions.org :shocker::shocker::shocker:

My answer would have been "I fight for all rights".
+1

The OP was spot on, now we just need to stop using words (they matter) from our oppositions playbook. My "guns" have no rights, they are simple tools, much like those who keep trying to take them from me, so they can force me to do their will.

Try "freedom" or "civil rights" instead. In today's PC society, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who says they are against those, yet the opposite is true of "guns".
