I have 3 pistol caliber carbines I hardly ever carry a pistol of the same caliber as the carbines.

Neat idea but like it was said before now days hardly any need to.

With a good bullet a 327 carbine would be fun as are my two 357 and 44mag carbine.

Some would say the .22 ammo shortage has never ended.

Plenty in stock..
There's a rule I know that some folks follow;
Pile it high and deep, when plentiful (and hopefully cheap).

There are two firearms I would love to see .327magnum chambered in:
1) Coonan Semi auto.. imho would be AWESOME!
2) Chiappa Rhino 3"... since it tames 357mag recoil, the lower bore axis would do wonders for the .327mag

Handloaded the 7.62x25mm will do anything in a semi auto that the 327 will do. 14.2 grains of H110 will push a 90 grain bullet to 1700fps. Barrels at one time were available in 7.62x25 in 1911 barrels for the 9mm 1911.

J&G Sales 7.62x25 Tokarev Barrel Kit, 6", For 1911 Wilson, Kimber, Springfield in 9mm or 38Super. New. $189.95

A RIA 1911 and the barrel kit will come in at half the price of a Coonan.

IMHO, new calibers and firearms aren't always designed cause they fill a real need.
In reality, probably more of a tiny niche that they hope to expand and capitalize on.

I have an AR Upper and a few Eastern Euro handgunsin 7.62x25, as well as .38super, 357sig, 10mm, and 357mag in various semi auto handguns.
Would still love to see .327 chambered in other firearms, even though I have firearms that can and will out perform it in similar/same platform.

A .327mag in Coonan's Cadet model would be a great combo, imho. It would make an great addition to the other Coonan's that reside in my home.

Interesting niche. As I carry a 9mm as primary, I wouldn't be interested in a .327 as a BUG. On the trail in grizzly country I carried a .44 magnum with a .357 magnum as my BUG. Different foes.

In town, I prefer 9mm.

The best thing about this country is we get to own and play with many different firearms and calibers.

I have one rule if buying a NEW favorite have to have caliber is to buy enough brass to last a life time.

I seen to many come and go and people begging to buy brass to use in them.

Here are five hand gun/long gun combinations that utilize the same magazine; however, this thread is about the .327 magnum.

Nice gun. The only problem with it is the lack of a side-loading gate. The only gun I could find that has BOTH a side-loading gate AND side eject was the Marlin 1894. The problem with the various Marlins (1894, 1895, & 336) is that none of them are available in .327 caliber.

Luckily Charter Arms has a lifetime warranty.

....

I got a call from Charter Arms, yesterday. :)

My revolver is finished and on the way back.
(IT WASN'T BROKEN!)
I had the DA/SA hammer on my Patriot Target replaced with a DAO hammer.
To Charter Arms' credit they only charged me the $ of the part, return shipping and the labor were on them.

Sent to CA on 4/18
Received @ CA on 4/20
Work completed on 4/25
Returned shipped 4/26
Received (?)

During that week I sought out and found lots of American Eagle 100gr SP.....
Defender Arms had some in stock. They shipped the same day as ordered (4/23) and it arrived on yesterday (4/25)... no they don't have anymore in stock.

I have been a 327 fan since 2009 when I got my sp101 3 in. If I don't carry a 1911 or Glock 19 I have my sp101. I understand Henry has a lever gun in 327.
I believe when people realize the possibilities of this cartridge it will gain popularity.
The sp101 is not a lightweight revolver and I find the recoil manageable, I really would not want one in a j frame or lcr.
