If there were no instances of school children shooting other students at public schools, there probably wouldn't much of a fuss over this video.

No such thing as school shootings. Urban myth. The law keeping guns off school grounds keeps us safe.

see post #5 to view the kids vid.

The kid is a FREAK,,, he never says a cohearent word, although he keeps talking during the vid,
he shows a toy cowboy gun, a fake or airsoft AK-47 and then a Real 22 bolt action rifle.

He doesnt threaten anybody,,, unless getting flipped off with double birds counts!

Maybe he was autistic....still doesn't mean he's a "Freak". Kids nowadays have different mindsets: maybe he doesn't have many friends in school, or maybe its just the fascination of filming himself. Eiter way, that was pretty low to call a 10 year old a "freak".

Anybody want to bet it was because of someing anti-gun that was said/taught at the school. He is giving the birds for some reason., it is obviously in response to someone that was preaching little kids should not have guns...from teh reaction of the school, I would guess it was someone (administrative maybe?) at the school.

I can have my guns if I want?

If you listen closely at the end of the video he references a screen name. Coco I believe. He says, "Coco I know you watch my videos". Then flips of the camera. This is supported by the comments on the video that are in defense of Coco.

The video has been removed.

I am having a hard time understanding why the school expelled the kid who did nothing wrong on school grounds, and why are the police involved? Have they omitted the 1st amendment of our constitution? If he was on private property than the police have no business in his affairs.

"Administrators say that's because the incident took place off campus over the weekend, and there were no threats made to the school or students."

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Look like the superintendent is playing, judge, jury, and executioner.

This is unbelievable. http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2...he-internet-and-school-violence-fears-collide

Nothing said of a search warrant, and no crime commited by him to initiate this. Seems things are getting worse, and this is the type of things that make kids go on shooting spree's.

So the victim of bullies is further victimized by the system that has zero tolerance towards bullies... Is every student who posted on his wall under arrest? What about the adults?

The 10-year-old student at Ridge View Elementary in Kennewick was expelled from school while district officials investigated the video.
In the video, the boy holds up three guns -- two appeared to be fake -- and at the end of the video says the name of a classmate.
Kennewick police referred the incident to Richland police after learning the video was made at a relative's home in Richland.
Richland police Capt. Mike Cobb told the Herald that no crime was committed by the child, but they were investigating whether the boy's father was unlawfully possessing a weapon.
The father is a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess or own firearms.
However, Cobb said detectives determined the firearms belonged to a different family member and there was no violation.

Fiest - there might be some confusion on the part of the newspaper between "expulsion" and "suspension" - but I doubt it because earlier articles quoted the Stupidintendent as saying the system expells before initiating an investigation.

Second - why do the cops feel the need to discuss the father's status as a felon if they found no violation of law by either him or his child?

Third - and a very distant third in this case - kudos to the cops for recognizing that it is possible for a felon to be in the proximity of firearms without violating the "no possession of firearms by convicted felons" rule.

Fourth - given that "the firearms belonged to a different family member" and there was no violation of law (is there a safe-storage law? was the kid under supervision of an adult who was off-camera?) why is there no mention of whether or not the guns and the "different family member" live at a different home than the kid and his felon father? It would sure calm the torches-and-pitcgforks crowd who might be concerned that the guns would sing their siren song of death to daddy if they were both under the same roof. [/sarcasm]

stay safe.
