I was going in into the local farm supply today when I saw a young man carrying pistol. It was raining fairly hard and I had a rain coat covering my 1911.

We didn't have much time to talk because of the rain. I told him to have a nice day and we went about our business.

Why do we call them "unicorns?" I get the rareness thing, but why are they not "unihorns"?

Well that phase was here long before I joined the forum.

Guess you well have to answer that question as moderator.
Sigh..........

"...a creature with a horse's body, deer's head, elephant's feet, lion's tail, and one [strike]black[/strike] horn two cubits long projecting from its forehead."

Corn is actually Latin for horn, Uni is Latin for one; therefore, uni-CORN = uni-HORN.

I prefer... Unigun...

and if you are open carrying two... it's a Twogun...
Off topic, but to compare in a similar fashion I think that would be a Duogun - not to be confused with a Duo Gun fastening tool.

Well keeping on topic I saw and talked to another one today.

I said your Glock looks just like mine he said hard to beat a Glock.

Yesterday I had my SR1911 on hard to beat that also.
