Well day 28 ( yesterday ) my prints finally got back to my Sheriff's office. Now if I can get out of this frozen tundra called Minnesota and get home to pick up my permit life would be great ( ok maybe just a little better )

Welcome to the forums, however, if you haven't noticed the forum says OPEN Carry.org, we discuss open carry and the normalization of armed citizens so CCW is kinda of a hear no evil speak no evil see no evil thing here on OCDO.

however with the CCW you can OC anywhere but government buildings and the like. so if the purpose of the permit was to enjoy more OC freedom, then more power to you.

also, just trying to point out the whole OC versus CC in topics thing before someone else does in a less polite manner. Again welcome to OCDO :D

Actually we don't care how you carry. Just don't contribute to restricting OC - promoting & defending OC is the very basis for OCDO.

I drive a semi and spend a majority of my time outside of Missouri, I got my permit so there is no longer the hassle of stoppin to lock my gun up in every other state(now just Illinois and Minnesota till I get my mn nonresident permit too) and so I don't have to leave it in the truck more than half the time.
While I am home I'll still OC I just wanted the option. Besides my springfield xd40 subcompact isn't exactly a pretty gun and the only OC holster I currently have is the xd gear plastic on that came with it......

Stay safe shoot straight and CARRY ON!

This one is a Multi Caliber 5.56, Going to build a 300 Black.
Havent had the chance to shoot it yet, but since its so nice out I plan to hit the outdoor range soon and sight the scope in.

I've been trying to figure out what sight I would use, I like the Eotech's and the new XPS 3's for their night vision compatability, but the MEPRO sights like good too and don't take batteries since they use tritium. but they aren't night vision compatible.

i guess i like the Mepro for a more solid clear sight as well. the eotechs are somewhat fuzzy. and i don't think the MEPRO is a CCO like the eo-tech is. and the dots on aimpoints are just to hard for me to see... 2moa dot is me going where the hell is it?

This has the Sun Optic Tactical with red/green laser sights.. Looks pretty nice, I will see how it does once I get to the range. Been waiting on my laser bore sight to get here so I dont waste a ton of ammo sighting it in.

Just found today I can buy the 300 upper for $275 and swap out my lower... hmmm, or do I want to go all out at $575 and just get a complete 300 Black and have 2 rifles?

Buy 'em both - Black rifles matter.

Or do something a little different:

According to my calculations (which are usually hand grenade accurate) that weapon could have been used a total of three times this winter in MO. Hope it was a heck of a return.

Works in a room with white walls too.

Blends in as well as a EBR in most environments AND can be used in lieu of a shotgun at emergency weddings. :)

I myself have been pondering a 458 SOCOM or 50 Beowulf upper build.. just for fun.

looking at the ballistics gel comparisons they are both pretty bad ass rounds.

The time I was doing Government contract work, they issued us S&W M&P .40's as our issued sidearm. I still have a liking towards S&W M&P series, but I have this extreme liking towards H&K and F&H series sidearms.

Don't count on it to give you an exact zero make sure you take her to the range and shoot it for zero also.
For sighted fire, nothing beats checking and double checking....sighted fire.

IMHO - laser sights are primarily for training point shooting at typical combat distances - most effective from 3' to 10'.
