Need Information On Gun Stored in RV whie parked on College/University Campus.

I did a search and found nothing of help. The link in the Kentucky Law sticky at the top of page, to the collage [sic] information, is broken and I get a 404 Not Found.

I will be traveling and living in a Class A Motor home and plan to be parked on a private university campus for 4-6 weeks while doing voluntary work there. I need to know what Kentucky and Federal laws apply to my situation of keeping a gun locked in the Motor home while there. I have a NC CHP which is recognized by 37 other states, including KY.

Would I be legal or must I find a FFL to store my gun during my stay?

Is there a state/federal statue that I can print out for my need?

There are no Federal laws to worry about in such a situation. As for Kentucky law, it protects your right to keep a firearm in your vehicle on university property, with Supreme Court precedent. The Kentucky Supreme Court ruled last year that a college or university cannot prohibit you from keeping a firearm or other deadly weapon in your vehicle in accordance with KRS 527.020, 237.110 and/or 237.106.
