Lettering writing, emails and phone calls do work as it did here in Yakima a couple of years ago, when then our Mayor (Pastor) Dave Edler (ex Seattle Mariner) joined them (without the consent of the council).
I believe the NRA ran an announcement on MAIG and he was so upset and went to the news telling people to stop contacting him.
Not only on this issue but he choose not to run of Council and will be out of office soon.

I did a double check and Yakima is not on their list :D

Here is a puzzler for Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City: What two things do all 15 of these mayors (and former mayors) have in common?

Mayor Patricia Christensen - Port St. Lucie, Florida
Mayor Will Wynn - Austin, Texas
Mayor Sheila Dixon - Baltimore, Maryland
Mayor Eddie Perez - Hartford, Connecticut
Mayor Gary Becker - Racine, Wisconsin
Mayor April Capone Almon - East Haven, Connecticut
Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick - Detroit, Michigan
Mayor Delle Donna - Guttenberg, New Jersey
Mayor Roosevelt F. Dorn, Inglewood, California
Mayor Frank Melton - Jackson, Mississippi
Mayor Samuel Rivera - Passaic, New Jersey
Mayor Adam Bradley, White Plains, New York
Mayor Ray Nagin, New Orleans, Louisiana
Mayor Jeremiah Healy - Jersey City, New Jersey
Mayor Larry Langford - Birmingham, Alabama

Answer: They are all criminals, and they are all members (or former members) of your "crime fighting" organization.

Note to Mayor Bloomberg: Instead of background checks on gun buyers, you ought to lobby for background checks on mayors. But "Mayors Against Illegal Mayors" doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?

Mayor Spencer Nichols, Pe Ell, Washington

I find this one interesting, as Pe Ell is a very gun friendly town... There are ALWAYS guns in gun racks year round, and I have seen numerous people OC there, as they put it "just 'cause" when I talk to them about it. They get quite a bit of money every year from hunting from the people that head down that way from the Seattle area and buy supplies and beer when they get there. I cannot imagine this guy having much political clout either, I think the town is right around 600 people total and ~270 voters. The town and area are actually very, very conservative there with most of the town working in the timber industry. I would actually be interested in seeing the rational behind him getting involved with this group of wacko's...

Ya, Pe Ell was a strange one, there are a couple others too that really don't make sense.

Well Mary Verner in Spokane will be officially unemployed if the vote continues the way it has since last nght.

I also noticed that B'ham isn't on the list any more. That is good.

Over on the PA forum they are talking about a Mayor in PA that was a member (been dead over a year now) that is still listed as active, and even has signed some letters to Congress and the Pres, adds too, in the year since he died.

You can remove Mayor Mary Verner, of Spokane, from the list as she was voted out last night. We will be keeping an eye on the new Mayor.

Unfortunatly Bellingham is still on the list, I missed a couple. However it may not be for long!

BELLINGHAM - Challenger Kelli Linville held a 51-49 percent lead over incumbent Mayor Dan Pike after the first round of vote-counting Tuesday, Nov. 8

Verner, thankfully, joins a long list of one term Spokane mayors. There hasn't been a mayor elected to a second term since 1973. Hopefully most of her enviro-twinkie staff will be gone with her.

From what I hear and see Kelli Linville is a progressive democrat who will be no better and possibly worse than the previous mayor. Now if we could only get politicians who cared about the federal and State constitutions.
